Veterinarians’ role in protecting human health

Veterinarians have important role in protection of human health through assurance of animal health and welfare. With their professional activities, the veterinarians impact directly and indirectly on animals, people, plants and environment they live and share.

Our activities

Representation of the professional interests and welfare of veterinarians, members of RO VKS “Belgrade II”
Planning the annual program, dynamics of implementation, and improvement of the quality of continuous professional development of veterinarians
Organization of activities for continuous professional development of veterinarians – education (workshops, lectures, professional meetings, and conferences)
Organization of study trips in the country and abroad, from own funds, donations, or sponsorships
Analysis and monitoring of the development of science, profession, and communications in the field of veterinary medicine and informing the members of RO VKS “Belgrade II” and the Veterinary Chamber of Serbia about current achievements
Preparation, consideration, and adoption of professional positions (Position papers) on behalf of RO VKS “Belgrade II”
Appointment of working groups for thematic areas
Cooperation with regional committees of the Veterinary Chamber of Serbia and other related organizations and associations in the “Open Balkans” region, the European Union, and at the international level
Collaboration with state services, scientific research organizations, and the economy with the aim of improving the veterinary profession Promotion of the veterinary profession in society
