It gathers veterinarians employed in state bodies (veterinary inspection, Ministry of Defense), scientific research organizations, education, diagnostic laboratories, and industry who deal with the development of control strategies and oversight in the production chain of animal feed and animal-derived food. It promotes continuous education and lifelong learning, contributes to the work of the Veterinary Chamber of Serbia (VKS) and the development of national legislation, advocates for a longitudinally integrated food safety assurance system (Longitudinally Integrated Safety Assurance – LISA), from farm to table, starting from animal welfare and health on the farm, slaughter/processing/meat processing, milk, fish, eggs, to distribution and retail, for the effective application of the food safety management system based on hazard analysis (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point – HACCP), as well as for meat inspection based on harmonized epidemiological indicators (Harmonized Epidemiological Indicators), food chain information (Food Chain Information), and risk assessment, in the meat safety assurance system (Meat Safety Assurance System).
